A possum-skin cloak is the grounding and encapsulating piece within this artwork. It holds space for VACCA’s journey, people, community and growth in upholding self-determination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The soaring Bunjil’s above our possum-skin cloak provide the wisdom and acknowledgement of our history of where VACCA began to where we are going. Paths of footprints step through the depicted sacred land of country revealing how VACCA’s growth has empowered and aided our community, families, children and young people in various regions across Victoria.
